Description
The primary purpose of this PT is to provide an opportunity for participants to demonstrate proficiency in the calibration of a 3.5-digit digital handheld multimeter. This PT kit contains a Fluke 179, 3.5 digit digital multimeter. Participants will use their standard lab procedures to perform 13 measurements of AC & DC voltage, AC & DC current, resistance, capacitance, frequency, and temperature. Measurements may be up to 200 V, 250 mA, 250 kΩ, 10 µF, 10 kHz, and 100°F. Participants are expected to be familiar with proper handling and calibration, have all necessary lab equipment, and have appropriate measurement uncertainties for calibration of similar devices.
