Description
Proficiency test for low-flow nitrogen flow meters at 2 SLPM. Use your standard lab procedures and report expanded uncertainty.
Sample instructions
To complete this PT you will need a flow standard set to mass flow in slpm and a nitrogen gas supply. When you receive the test flow meter marked FLOW-116 please allow 24 hours before the test to acclimate to room temperature.
- Connect the flow meter marked FLOW-116 to your flow standard and air supply.
- Set flow conditions on your flow standard to 1 atm and 25.00 °C.
- Set flow to 0.5000 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
- Set flow to 1.0000 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
- Set flow to 1.5000 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
- Set flow to 2.0000 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
- Set flow to 1.0000 slpm and record reading. Report reading and uncertainty on the Data Reporting Sheet.
- Email results and your uncertainty budget to proficiency@lakebalance.com
- After you've received your completed test results return to Lake Balance Calibration Solutions.

- To set gas type:
- Press Menu (bottom right) and then Basic Config (bottom left).
- Press Gas (top left) scroll to recent and press Select (bottom right).
- Use Up and Down buttons (top left & center) to scroll to Recent and press Select (bottom right).
- Use Up and Down buttons (top left & center) to scroll to Nitrogen and press Select (bottom right).
